From May 4th to May 9th, 2013 took place the IFFA: the international trade fair for processing, packaging and sales in the meat industry at the Messe Frankfurt in Germany.
The countries present at the IFFA 2013:
Argentina, Austria, Australia, Belarus, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Iran, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Liechtenstein, Malaysia, New Zealand, Netherland, Norway, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Republic of Korea, Republic of Serbia, Romania, Russian Federation, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Turkey, Ukraine, United Kingdom, USA.
The weather was good and it was comfortable to move from hall 4 to hall 11, even on your feet, what I did, by such a beautiful weather. Halls that were well frequented by people of the meat industry.
The various branches of the meat industry were on display :
Slaughtering technology, boiling equipment, hair removing equipment, poultry slaughtering equipment, casing processing machinery, frozen meat saws, baking, roasting, frying equipment, …
Among the firms I came across:
The firm Beher : Bernardo Hernandez from Salamanca in Spain, a firm that produces Ibérico pork products, and yes, I taste it, and it is for sure one of the best ham products in the world.
The firm Landfleischerei Henry Koch from Calden in Germany that produces extraordinarily tasty sausages.
The firm Lutetia from Plailly in france specialized in the manufacture of equipments for the food industry.
The firm Sidel & Hema from Quimper in France, a firm specialized in the “designing, manufacturing and marketing of fillers and cappers.
The Couédic Madoré Equipement from Plemet in France, a firm specialized in machinery and equipment for slaughtering and meat dismembering and processing.
The firm Plantic Technologies GmbH from Jena in Germany that produces eco-friendly packaging materials.
The firm LEFA Fleischereiausstattungen GmbH from Haselbachtal in Germany that produces the Lefa combi-steamer that cooks, bakes and smokes.
The firm Pacovis from Stetten in Switzerland, a firm specialized in food solutions: marinades, herb butters, additives, (…), and food packaging: take away packaging, hygiene products…
The firm InterFiber : Fibers of Nature from Zhejiang in China, a firm that produces wheat fiber, bamboo fiber, cellulose fiber for the meat industry.
The firm Sta. Catalina del Monte from El Palmar in Spain, a firm that produces marinades, powdered sauces, raw spices, binders, food colorants, (…) for meat products.
The firm La Chinata from Cáceres in Spain that produces Smoked Paprika Powder and Smoked Dried Peppers.
The firm bfm Ladenbau from Lorch-Waldhausen in Germany that creates the interior design of your retail store.
The firm Hesko Etiketten Gmbh from Hammersbach in Germany, a specialist of product labels and stickers.
The firm German Bulgarian Business Group Ltd. from Sofia in Bulgaria, a firm specialized in the production of additives and condiment mixtures for the meat industry.
Special thanks to Mr Torsten Winterlich from the firm Moguntia from Mainz in Germany, who presented to me some of his company’s products on display at the company’s stand at the IFFA 2013. The firm Moguntia produces noodles, dried soups, marinades, ...
According to the Messe Frankfurt management, 60 266 people visited the IFFA 2013 and they came from 142 countries. 960 exhibiting companies from 47 countries attended the IFFA 2013.
The next IFFA in Frankfurt am Main will take place between May 7th and May 12th, 2016.
