Buchmesse 2014 Messe Frankfurt : (German)

Vom 8. bis 12. Oktober fand die Frankfurter Buchmesse 2014 statt. Ich habe sie gleich am ersten Tag besucht, denn da kann man sich in Ruhe von Halle zu Halle bewegen, und dem großen Andrang an den Publikumstagen entgehen.

Am Stand des türkischen Ministeriums für Kultur und Tourismus konnte ich die sehr interessanten kleinen Bücher der Serie ‚Handbook‘ erhalten:

The Philosopher’s Philosopher: Nasreddin Hodja

Istanbul: A World Heritage Site

Selimiye Mosque and Its Social Complex

The Aegean Mythology: The Story Of The Two Sides

Festzuhalten ist auch die Präsenz von Sebastian Schmidt, der in Bildhauermanier Bücher aus Stein kreiert.

Erwähnenswert ist auch die Präsentation von Ivon Illmer, der Bücher aus Holz schnitzt.

Die Vorsehung hat mich auch mit Pater Mark-David Janus zusammengeführt, einem Herausgeber, der mir das Buch ‚MERCY‘ von Kardinal Walter Kasper sehr empfohlen hat. Es ist erschienen im Verlag ‚Paulist Press‘.

Voilà, das ist er, der Bericht von meinem ersten Tag auf der Frankfurter Buchmesse 2014.
