From the 8th to the 13th of May 2010 took place at the Messe Frankfurt in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, the IFFA: The Leading International Trade Fair for Meat Processing, Packaging and Selling.
The countries present at the Frankfurt’s Leading International Trade Fair for Meat Processing, Packaging and Selling: IFFA, are:
Argentina, Australia, Belarus, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, China, Denmark, Finland, France, Greece, Hong Kong, India, Iran, Israel, Italy, Japan, Canada, Liechtenstein, Mexico, New Zealand, Netherland, Norway, Austria, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Sweden, Suisse, Republic of Serbia, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Taiwan, Turkey, Ukraine, Hungary, USA, United Kingdom.
The classes of products are:
Slaughtering techniques. Dismembering and processing techniques. Machines and equipments for the processing of natural and artificial casings.
Facilities, accessories and tools for slaughter and processing. Roasting, baking and frying equipments. Cooking and smoking equipments.
Refrigeration techniques. Automation and manipulation techniques. Packaging techniques. Transportation and storage systems.
Weighing Techniques. Food security and food quality management. Process control, process management techniques and process automation.
EDP and IT solutions. Cleaning equipment, hygiene in firms and security at work.
Energy sparing, maintenance of water, compressed air and gas facilities. Services.
Spices, additives for the making of meat and sausage products. Sales : everything evolving around meat and sausage.
35 enterprises represent France. I have met some of them:
CAProtéines/CAPdiana from Pleucadeuc, food ingredient specialist. Biovitec from Ville-sur-Jarnioux, food ferment, ingredient and additives specialist.
Other enterprises from all over the world attended the fair, among them:
Gut Owstin from Owstin in Germany, a firm manufacturing ostrich meat and products. Guillermo Romero Alvarez from Sevilla in Spain is a quality ham producer.
Wild Nature GmbH & Co. KG from Rudolstadt in Germany manufactures exotic meat such as ostrich, bison, water buffalo, gnu, antelope meat, (…).
Landhof Standl from Haarbach in Germany and the products from the countryside : sausages, ham, (…).
Obere Metzgerei Franz Winterhalter from Elzach in Germany, a ham and sausage specialist.
MTJ – Formtechnologie GmbH with Josef Franz Märkl from Rachelsbach in Germany manufactures pans to shape ham, sausages, (…).
Aves Nobles Y Derivados, S.L. from Saragossa in Spain, a tapas, croquette, cherizo specialist, (…).
For ingredients, condiments, accompanying products were to be found among others:
Delikatessen & Geschenke from Nümbrecht-Breunfeld in Germany, Schulze & Co. KG from Nuremberg in Germany, World Pac International AG from Schaanwald in Liechtenstein, a producer of innovative casings.
At this Trade Fair for Meat Processing, Packaging and Selling, IFFA, were also bakery, cheese and milk firms to be seen, among them:
Frankfurt’s 2010 Leading International Trade Fair for Meat Processing, Packaging and Selling: IFFA was a success. Vivid illustration of Mankind’s everlasting interest in meat and everything evolving around meat.
