From May 7th to May 12th, 2016 took place at the Messe Frankfurt, the Meat Industry Trade Fair 2016 : IFFA.

During my visit at the IFFA 2016 Messe Frankfurt, I had a chance to meet with NATUR BACK owner Hans K. Möller who was baking himself a bread on his booth, and who kindly offered me the wonderful bread whose picture accompanies this article.

Jürgen Steudle : Head of Sales of the firm DICK that manufactures knives and objects related to knives.

Pierre Gavignon : General Manager of the firm STERITECH S.A. from Saverne in France that manufactures machines that keep your products sterile.

Emmanuel Swolfs : Sales Manager Germany/Austria/Switzerland for the firm Dynaco Entrematic from Moorsel-Aalst in Belgium that manufactures high speed doors.

Diego Sousa : Sales Manager for IVO cutelarias from Santa Catarina in Portugal.

Eladio Sánchez Rodríguez from the firm MONTENUEVO in Salamanca in Spain.

Michael Socha : Sales manager for Kahler from Berlin in Germany that manufactures spices and complementary ingredients for the food industry.

Hans Peter Ramsi : Team leader Competence Center Casing for the firm WIBERG GmbH from Salzburg in Austria.

Patrick Robert : Senior Sales Manager for the firm CRETeL from Eeklo in Belgium.

According to the Messe Frankfurt:

More than 63 000 visitors coming from 143 countries attended the IFFA 2016 Messe Frankfurt.

1 027 exhibitors coming from 51 countries were present on the 110 000 square meters of the IFFA 2016 Messe Frankfurt.

The 10 countries having sent the most visitors at IFFA 2016 Messe Frankfurt were Russia, Spain, Poland, Italy, The Netherlands, China, The USA, Austria, Australia, and Ukraine.

The next IFFA Messe Frankfurt will be held between May 4th, 2019 to May 9th, 2019.

From the 8th to the 13th of May 2010 took place at the Messe Frankfurt in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, the IFFA: The Leading International Trade Fair for Meat Processing, Packaging and Selling.

The countries present at the Frankfurt’s Leading International Trade Fair for Meat Processing, Packaging and Selling: IFFA, are:

The classes of products are:

Slaughtering techniques. Dismembering and processing techniques. Machines and equipments for the processing of natural and artificial casings.

Facilities, accessories and tools for slaughter and processing. Roasting, baking and frying equipments. Cooking and smoking equipments.

35 enterprises represent France. I have met some of them:

CAProtéines/CAPdiana from Pleucadeuc, food ingredient specialist. Biovitec from Ville-sur-Jarnioux, food ferment, ingredient and additives specialist.

MecaPlastic from Pouzauges, packaging machine manufacturer. Viskase S.A.S. from Paris, Fibrous casings, Nojax cellulose casings, Visflex and Vismax plastic casings manufacturer.

Other enterprises from all over the world attended the fair, among them:

Gut Owstin from Owstin in Germany, a firm manufacturing ostrich meat and products. Guillermo Romero Alvarez from Sevilla in Spain is a quality ham producer.

Landfleischerei Henry Koch from Calden in Germany is a quality ham and sausage producer… Dohr Natural Casings from Hamburg in Germany is a casing manufacturer.

Wild Nature GmbH & Co. KG from Rudolstadt in Germany manufactures exotic meat such as ostrich, bison, water buffalo, gnu, antelope meat, (…).

Landhof Standl from Haarbach in Germany and the products from the countryside : sausages, ham, (…).

Obere Metzgerei Franz Winterhalter from Elzach in Germany, a ham and sausage specialist.

MTJ – Formtechnologie GmbH with Josef Franz Märkl from Rachelsbach in Germany manufactures pans to shape ham, sausages, (…).

Aves Nobles Y Derivados, S.L. from Saragossa in Spain, a tapas, croquette, cherizo specialist, (…).

At this Trade Fair for Meat Processing, Packaging and Selling, IFFA, were also bakery, cheese and milk firms to be seen, among them:

Schedel Der ökologische Backspezialist GmbH from Ebensfeld-Unterneuses in Germany. Agrarmarkt Austria GesmbH from Vienna in Austria for milk and cheese products.

Frankfurt’s 2010 Leading International Trade Fair for Meat Processing, Packaging and Selling: IFFA was a success. Vivid illustration of Mankind’s everlasting interest in meat and everything evolving around meat.
